    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for plasma display having desired filter characteristics such as a function of shielding against electromagnetic waves, a function to intercept near IR rays and a function to improve the picture quality, so that improvements such as a low cost, a lightweight and thin device, panel protective property, working efficiency at the time of occurrence of failure, and improved productivity are realized, and also to provide a display device mounting the filter and a method for manufacturing the device. SOLUTION: The filter for plasma display is constituted by laminating a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (C)31 containing dyes, a polymer film (B)20, a transparent conductive layer (D)10, a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (E)40 and a functional transparent layer (A)60 having antireflection property, hard-coat property, gas barrier property, antistatic property and antifouling property sequentially in this order, and is bonded to the upper face of a plasma display part 00. The transparent conductive layer (D)10 is grounded to the ground terminal of the display via an electrode 50 and a conductive copper foil pressure-sensitive adhesive tape 80.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter which can selectively cut the light of specified wavelength generated in various kinds of displays, and has high visible light transmittance without disturbing color purity of the display. SOLUTION: The optical filter contains at least one kind of tetraaza porphyrin having the maximum absorption wavelength in 570-605 nm in the substrate. Since the optical filter contains the tetraaza porphyrin having the maximum absorption wavelength in 570-605 nm in the substrate, the excessive light in the wavelength band of 570-605 nm generated in the various kinds of displays is efficiently cut. Therefore, by using the red color part of visible light rays, the preparation of the optical filter for display which has excellent durability and is easily molded by means of various kinds of methods is made possible.
