    • A wrapping apparatus for wrapping a sheet of a covering material from a roll onto an outer surface of a surgical site. The wrapping apparatus includes a handle and a body portion having a housing, a first end, and a second end. The housing and the first and second ends generally defining an interior region that is configured to receive the placement of the roll. The wrapping apparatus further includes first and second spindles that are configured to allow rotation of the roll relative to the handle for the dispensing of the sheet of covering material from the roll. The wrapping apparatus may also include a cap that is operably connected to the second end, and which secures the roll to the wrapping apparatus. Additionally, the wrapping apparatus may include a cutting apparatus that cuts or tears dispensed covering material away from the roll of covering material.

    • The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling the solid fuel regression rate of a solid fuel ramjet engine. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, pressure oscillations are excited using active, closed-loop control to vary the heat transfer, and in turn the regression rate of a solid fuel ramjet engine. The pressure oscillations are excited by introducing small disturbances into the shear layer. The disturbances are amplified in the shear layer and excite pressure oscillations. The disturbances are introduced at a certain phase relative to the pressure oscillations. This is accomplished by closed-loop control. By varying the phase, the amplitude of the pressure oscillations can also be varied, which in turn will vary the heat transfer, regression rate, and thrust level.

    • A phase shifting device including a coupling device having an input port, an output port and a further port. The further port is connected to a transmission line, along the length of which are connected a number of switches. Each switch is operable to connect a low impedance across the transmission line such that an input signal applied to the input port is reflected at a connected one of the switches to produce an output signal at the output port whose phase is shifted relative to that of the input signal by an amount dependent on the length of transmission line traversed by the input signal. Alternatively the capacitance of each of the switches may be operated so as to vary the propagation constant of the transmission line to thereby produce the required phase shift.
