摘要： PURPOSE:To feed continuously a polymerization inhibitor in a constant amount, by improving solubility of the polymerization inhibitor by using a specific solvent which does not require any recovery treatment in distillation process for separating styrene from a reaction product using a nitrosophenol as the polymerization inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:Styrenes useful as a raw material for polystyrene, synthetic rubber, ABS resin, etc. are separated and purified by distillation from a reaction product in the presence of a nitrosophenol (polymerization inhibitor), wherein the polymerization inhibitor is dissolved in a solvent composed of at least one selected from alcohols, ethers, ketones, esters and amines, having >=170 deg.C boiling point and being liquid at 25 deg.C, and a constant amount thereof is fed steadily and continuously without any deterioration of polymerization-inhibitory ability with no occurrence of choking in a feeder. According to this method, the solvent, which is contained in a heavy-end, can be wholly used as a fuel with ease and effectively treated.

CONSTITUTION: The water soluble photosensitive resin layer contg. PVAL is provided on the surface of the substrate and the negative film is brought into tight contact with the surface thereof then the resin layer is subjected to the UV exposure from the negative side thereafter the cleaning water incorporated therein with a ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer having 500W4,000mol.wt. and 1W30wt% ethylene oxide content is sprayed onto the surface to wash away the uncured resin, by which a relief plate is obtd. The concn. of the defoaming agent in the cleaning water is made abut 0.005W5wt% and the photosensitive resin is constituted of the PVAL, photopolymerizable vinyl monomer and photosensitizer. The generation of scum is obviated by developing the resin layer after the exposure with the cleaning water contg. such defoaming resin. The sticking, etc. to a water storage tank are thus obviated. The defoaming agent has excellent durability and the cleaning water is reusable, by which the method is made advantageous in terms of cost.
