摘要： An apparatus for identifying a type of a tape cassette inserted into a cassette holder of a tape recorder in a longitudinal direction and mounted at a predetermined position in the tape recorder, the first tape cassette being provided with at least one recess at its side surface perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and the second tape cassette being provided with a projection at a position of its side surface corresponding to the position of the recess of the first type of tape cassette. The apparatus comprises a rotatable lever arranged to be in a predetermined position before mounting the tape cassette and rotatable toward the tape cassette after mounting the tape cassette. The rotatable lever engages with the recess of the first type of tape cassette or the projection of the second type of tape cassette so as to take a first or a second operating state in accordance with presence of the recess or the projection. The apparatus further comprises a switch responsive to the first and second operating states of the rotatable lever so as to identify the type of the tape cassette on the basis of the operating states.

摘要： A tape recorder includes a cassette holder (1) for holding therein a tape cassette (31) which is inserted in a direction parallel to the direction of movement of a slide shutter (32) of the tape cassette, an arm-like shutter opening member (13) for opening the slide shutter of the tape cassette, a slide member (7) movable between a first position in which the tape cassette is latched on the slide member (7), and a second position in which the tape cassette is fully received in the cassette holder, and a control plate (50), connected with the slide member and engageable with the shutter opening member (13), for controlling the operation of an actuating pin (15) of the shutter opening member such that when the slide member is disposed in the first position, the actuating pin (15) is held on the outside of the cassette holder, and when the slide plate moves from the first position toward the second position, the actuating pin (15) is able to move into the cassette holder (1) and then engage and open the slide shutter of the tape cassette as the tape cassette (31) is advanced by the slide member.

摘要： A tape recorder apparatus which is compatible with analogue and audio tape cassettes 1, 2, whose upper surfaces are formed with different engaging holes 1a, 2a, respectively. This tape recorder apparatus comprising: a holder 3 for selectively receiving either of these two different types of tape cassette 1, 2; and a retainer member 4 being swingably supported about a shaft 4d and disposed adjacent to but spaced from the holder 3. This retainer member 4 has a pair of engaging hooks 4a, 4c being disposed along an insertion direction of the tape cassette 1 or 2. Each of these engaging hooks 4a, 4c exclusively engages with either of above different engaging holes 1a, 2a formed on the two different types of tape cassette 1, 2 when the respective tape cassette 1 or 2 is completely inserted in the holder 3. This retainer member 4 further includes a resilient portion 4b for flexibly causing swing movement of the engaging hooks 4a, 4c in both directions for engaging and disengaging with the tape cassettes 1 or 2; and shift members 5, 6 and 7, being connected with the retainer member 4 directly or indirectly, for shifting the tape cassette 1 or 2 from a first position where the tape cassette is completely held in the holder 3 to a second position where the tape cassette is set to execute its recording or reproducing operation.
