摘要： The invention relates to a method of authenticating a physical object using a helper data and a control value associated with a reference object, the method comprising: acquiring a metric data of the physical object, generating a first property set using a noise compensating mapping on input data derived from information comprising said helper data and metric data , establishing a sufficient match between said physical and reference object using said property set and control value. The method further comprising a step to generate a noise measure, the step comprising the following sub-steps: reconstructing the output of a noise robust mapping generated during the enrolment of the reference object using the noise compensating mapping, and generating the noise measure by calculating the difference between the input to the noise compensating mapping and the output of the noise robust mapping. 摘要： A relative movement sensor for measuring movement of an object (15) and the sensor relative to each other, the sensor comprising a plurality of lasers (3,5) for generating respective measuring beams and illuminating the object (15) therewith, and a plurality of respective photodiodes (4,6) for measuring changes in operation of each laser cavity caused by reflected measuring beam radiation re-entering the respective laser cavity and the optical wave in the laser cavity. The plurality of lasers (3,5) are operated in a time-multiplexed manner such that only a subset (i.e. one or more) of the lasers is operated at any one time, the remaining lasers being idle. This reduces peak power dissipation and prevents erroneous interference caused by measuring beam radiation from one laser entering the cavity of another laser.

摘要： The present invention relates to a system and a method of verifying the identity of an individual by employing biometric data associated with the individual (603), wherein privacy of said biometric data (X, Y) is provided. A helper data scheme (HDS) is employed to provide privacy of the biometric data. The present invention is advantageous for number of reasons. First, processing of security sensitive information is performed in a secure, tamper-proof environment (601, 604, 606) which is trusted by the individual. This processing, combined with utilization of a helper data scheme, enables set up of a biometric system where the biometric template is available in electronic form only in the secure environment. Moreover, electronic copies of the biometric templates are not available in the ecure environment permanently , but only when the individual offers her template to the sensor.

摘要： A method of encoding a graphical message (220, 221) based on a key sequence as an encoded sequence of information units. For each pixel of the message, said pixel having a normalized intensity I, a total rotation α which results in a liquid crystal display in a pixel with substantially the intensity I is determined. The key sequence contains arbitrary rotations. The difference between the total rotation α and a corresponding rotation in the key sequence is output as an element of the encoded sequence. A device (201) presents pixels with rotations indicated by the encoded sequence on a first display (701) and pixels with rotations indicated by the key sequence on a second display (211). Superimposing the two displays reveals the graphical message. The method can be repeated for red, green and blue intensities of color pixels, allowing colored graphical messages to be encoded and reconstructed.
