    • Disclosed are wholly aromatic polyamide filament and a method of manufacturing the same, characterized by comprising multi-stage injection of a coagulant with sulfuric acid concentration lowered sequentially stage by stage, to a spun material fed into a coagulant injection tank. The present invention enables increase of a spinning and take-up velocity without occurrence of thread cutting by uniformly and evenly coagulating surface and inside of the spun material. In addition, the present invention recovers the coagulant or water already used and reuses the recovered coagulant or water in the earlier stages, so that it has advantages of saving production costs and reducing environmental contamination. Accordingly, the wholly aromatic polyamide filament produced according to the present invention has high crystallinity X, large apparent crystal size ACS and reduced defects in the crystal itself, thereby exhibiting more improved physical properties such as strength and modulus.

    • The present invention relates to a lyocell fiber to which is performed a wet-treatment under a saturation vapor pressure state for 10 minutes at a temperature of 120¡É and then subsequently a dry-treatment for 2 hours at a temperature of 130¡É, wherein the strength of the lyocell fiber is higher than the strength of the untreated lyocell fiber, when measured under standard conditions, and to a tire cord comprising the lyocell fiber. According to the present invention, the lyocell fiber has strength, elongation, and modulus that are superior to those of a conventional rayon even when the lyocell fiber is wet- and dry-treated under high temperature and high pressure conditions by specifying a water-washing condition of a spinning machine, thereby improving dimensional stability of a tire cord when it is applied to the tire cord.

    • Disclosed are a method of manufacturing wholly aromatic polyamid filaments and wholly aromatic polyamid filaments produced by the same. The present inventive process comprises control of a timing for introducing wholly aromatic polyamid polymer into an extruder for preparation of a spinning dope based on particle size and/or inherent viscosity (IV) of the polyamid polymer. The present invention can significantly reduce brittleness of the wholly aromatic polyamid polymer due to a sulfuric acid solvent during preparation of the spinning dope so as to improve strength and, especially, side impact strength of the wholly aromatic polyamid filaments and can also use even polymers with lower IVs which are necessarily generated during the polymerization, thereby reducing production costs of the polyamid filaments.

Accordingly, the wholly aromatic polyamide filament produced exhibits narrow PDI and lowered paracrystalline parameter gπ leading to reduction of defects of a crystal itself, so as to considerably improve strength and modulus thereof.
