At least one of the labels is dimensioned and configured to hold a removable cap on a medical container to indicate if the container cap has been tampered with, and preferably that label has a length of between about 10-11 inches so that it can be wrapped completely around a 90 ml plastic specimen vial, or other medical container, so that portions of the label are in contact with each other, enhancing the tamper evident functionality of the label. A second label on the release liner may be a box seal, and other labels may be provided to facilitate tamper evident functionality of the form.

摘要： A specimen container label is particularly suited for use by robotic elements to improve the tedious process of aliquoting urine samples to increase productivity and decrease costs in laboratories. The label has a substrate with top and bottom surfaces and pressure sensitive adhesive provided on the bottom surface to effectively secure the label to a specimen container. The substrate also includes a central enlarged, preferably circular in plan, portion, with at least one wing, typically two opposite wings, extending outwardly from the central enlarged portion, and an opening in the substrate at the central portion which allows a robotic element to handle a specimen container cover over which the substrate central portion is applied. The opening may be covered with a glassine patch, which is easily pierced by the robotic element. The label may initially be provided with a release liner of the same dimensions and configuration, and the wings may be necked down where they engage the central portion. The label substrate may be provided on a business form with other labels, typically all having the same bar code indicia on them.

摘要： A composite label assembly includes a release sheet having first and second sides, with a first cellulose paper label attached by repositional adhesive on the first side, and a second polyester label with permanent pressure sensitive adhesive on the second side. The first label has first indicia relating to an appliance, such as a water heater, while the second label has second indicia relating to the same appliance, e.g. model number and/or serial number. The assembly also includes a shipping label and a warning label. The composite label assembly is easily and readily produced from a web of paper label stock associated with a web of release paper by die cutting paper labels from the label stock and removing the matrix material, and then affixing on the polyester labels directly to the release web.
