    • La invencion es una boquilla de quijadas convergentes que satisface todos los criterios antes mencionados al tiempo que evita las desventajas asociadas con la tecnología anterior. La boquilla de quijadas convergentes de la invencion generalmente comprende un collar dispuesto en un bastidor giratorio, un anillo de oreja dispuesto alrededor del collar y tiene una porcion de leva para comprimir de manera radial la orilla externa elástica, una contratuerca dispuesta alrededor y acoplada de forma roscada al bastidor de la boquilla que tiene una porcion de pestaña que confronta una porcion de pestaña del anillo de oreja para aplicar fuerzas de compresion allí en una direccion que es paralela al eje de rotacion del bastidor de la boquilla. Algo muy importante, la boquilla de quijadas convergentes comprende además un ensamble de cojinetes para transmitir la fuerza de compresion paralela entre las porciones de pestaña confrontantes del anillo de oreja y la contratuerca. Con este fin, el ensamble de cojinetes incluye ranuras opuestas en las pestañas confrontantes de la contratuerca y el anillo de oreja, respectivamente, y una pluralidad de cojinetes de bolas dispuestos entre estas ranuras donde cada ranura tiene, en seccion transversal, una porcion arqueada complementaria en forma para los cojinetes de bolas que atraviesa una línea paralela al eje de rotacion del bastidor de la boquilla, y un anillo elástico (de resorte) de diseño balanceado. En la incorporacion preferida, las porciones arqueadas de las ranuras definen a todas las superficies opuestas completas de las porciones de pestaña opuestas del anillo de oreja y contratuerca. Adicionalmente, la porcion arqueada de cada ranura de preferencia circunscribe por lo menos 100o alrededor de la circunferencia de los cojinetes de bolas. La forma complementaria de las porciones arqueadas con respecto a la superficie de los cojinetes de bolas, acoplada con su extension de 100o, provoca las fuerzas compresivas que van a transmitirse desde la contratuerca hacia el anillo de oreja mediante el amplio contacto de superficie a superficie entre los cojinetes de bolas y las superficies de las ranuras.
