摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a joint in a sealing and retaining manner by the single operation of only inserting a flexible pipe therein; to improve the sealing performance while making the joint hardly affected by deformation of the flexible pipe, bending after construction etc.; and to reduce the number of members and assembling man-hours. SOLUTION: Along with inserting a tip of the flexible pipe 2 into a socket part 3 of a joint body 5, the tip, which is inserted inside cylindrical sealing rubber 6, contacts a pipe end receptacle 6b and pushes the sealing rubber 6 into the back of the socket part. Along with the pushing, a seal acting part 6c is deformed and contracted in diameter by slide-contacting a narrower side of a first taper 15 so as to adhere tightly to at least a slant face 9a of a trough part 9 of the flexible pipe 2. An outer diameter part of a retaining projected part 6e slide-contacts a narrower side of a second taper 16 to be contracted in diameter, and an inner diameter part is fitted to another trough part 9 of the flexible pipe 2 different from the trough part 9. The cylinder portion 76a of the pressing ring 24 has a to-be-fitted portion 77. The to-be-fitted portion 77 is inserted into the joint body 20 at its midway and held in the state that it is not completely inserted into the joint body 20. Onto the outer peripheral face of the to-be-fitted portion 77, a color is applied which is different at least from that onto each of the outer peripheral face of the joint body 20 and the outer peripheral face of the exposed portion 76b.
