摘要： The present invention aims to effectively perform image data transfer between an image generation controller and an image processing controller in either of color image printing and black-and-white image printing. Respective signal lines of Y, M, C and K are provided in a video interface formed between a PDL controller and the image processing controller. When the color image is printed by a printer of one-drum structure, data of a one color for four lines are simultaneously transferred by using the four signal lines, and this transfer operation is repeated for one page and for the four colors. When the black-and-white image is printed, black data for the four lines are simultaneously transferred by using the four signal lines, and this transfer operation is repeated for one page.

摘要： Before transmitting a print job to a printing apparatus, a CPU of a print processing apparatus determines whether paper information designated in the print job has been registered in a paper information database of the print processing apparatus. If the paper information has not been registered, the CPU extracts paper information similar to the paper information designated in the print job from those stored in the paper information database of the print processing apparatus. Furthermore, the CPU copies information about the dependency on the printing apparatus, which is included in the extracted paper information (printer dependency information) to the paper information designated in the print job. Then, the CPU registers the paper information designated in the print job, to which the printer dependency information has been copied, in a paper information database of the printing apparatus and transmits the print job to the printing apparatus.

摘要： If an optional paper feeding deck or furnisher, or paper stacker, is connected to an image forming apparatus (such as a printer), such optional devices are to be controlled by connecting the paper conveyance control apparatus to control those options. Such an image forming apparatus has a video controller to convert the printer language sent from a high-order device such as a host computer, into a bit map data and a printer engine to print the bit map data. Such a paper conveyance control apparatus, being electrically connected to the video controller, has a memory to be shared with the video controller. The video controller writes the job schedule in the shared memory. The paper conveyance control apparatus controls the optional device according to the written job schedule.
