摘要： The disclosure provides for an accessory for a vehicle. The accessory comprises a housing forming a front surface configured to display a rearward directed field of view from the vehicle and a rear surface directed in a forward operating direction of the vehicle. An at least partially light transmissive panel is directed toward a front windscreen of the vehicle and is in connection with the rear surface. A light source is disposed in the housing proximate the light transmissive panel and is configured to emit light through the at least partially light transmissive panel. A controller is in communication with the light source. The controller is configured to receive an indication of an operating condition of the vehicle and selectively activate the light source in response to the operating condition of the vehicle.

摘要： A rearview assembly having a mounting structure configured to be operably coupled with a vehicle. A housing is operably connected with the mounting structure and a rearward viewing device is supported by one of the housing and the mounting structure. The rearward viewing device provides a rearward view to a vehicle driver and includes a front substrate and a rear substrate. The entire front surface of the front substrate is exposed and the entire rear substrate is positioned behind the front substrate. A concealing layer is disposed about a periphery of the rearward viewing device between the front substrate and the rear substrate. A partially optically transparent bezel is disposed adjacent to both the rearward viewing device and the housing, the optically transparent bezel having an edge radius greater than 2.5 mm and the optically transparent bezel being substantially flush with the front surface of the front substrate.

摘要： A vehicle rearview mirror (10) includes a substrate (12) having a reflective surface (14) and an actuation mechanism (16) having a support unit (18) coupled with the substrate (12). The actuation mechanism (16) also has a mounting plate (20) with a first end (22) thereof rotatably coupled with the support unit (18). A toggle latch (24) is rotatably coupled with mounting plate (20) and alternately engages with the support unit (18) in respective first and second positions. The second position corresponds with rotation of the support unit (18) toward a second end (23) of the mounting plate (20) from the first position. The toggle latch (24) is rotatable out of the first and second positions into a release position wherein the toggle latch is disengaged with the support unit (18). A toggle paddle (26) is rotatably coupled with the mounting plate (20) and is positioned adjacent the toggle latch (24) to move the toggle latch (24) into the release position by rotation of the toggle paddle.

The electro-optic element may comprise first and second substrates, an electro-optic medium, and a spectral filter. The first and second substrates may be disposed in a substantially spaced apart relationship and may have first and second edges, respectively. The electro-optic medium is disposed between the first and second substrates. The spectral filter may be substantially opaque in appearance and disposed in a peripheral manner on the first substrate. Additionally, the first and second substrates have a substantial miss-match where a line bisecting the first substrate does not bisect the second substrate. The display element is operable to display a digital image. The sensor is operable to sense a condition and generate a signal based thereon. Additionally, the sensor may be optically aligned with the miss-match.
