    • PURPOSE:To increase the stable phase advance operation range of a synchronous generator by providing a differentiating output generator in parallel with a reactive power regulator, and adding the output of the output generator to the output of an automatic voltage regulator for controlling the field current of the generator. CONSTITUTION:The exciting power to a synchronous generator G is branched by an excitation transformer Tr, and supplied via power regulator AD. The reactive power generated from the generator G is detected through a current transformer CT and a voltage transformer PT by a reactive power detector QD, added together with output of a power setter 9R to a reactive power regulator AQR, thereby operating an operation motor 9M. The calculated result of the AVR to the new set value is supplied to the regulator AD. DC voltage is supplied from DC voltage power sources P, N through a relay contact 9La to the differentiating signal generator DF, and the differentiated voltage is outputted to a signal adder A. The added voltage is applied to the regulator AD, thereby increasing the stable operation range of phase advance operation range.
