SOLUTION: A first drive signal is outputted so that the operation state of the monitoring device 20 for a vehicle is adjusted according to a first drive signal in accordance with either one operation state of the manual control device or the automatic control device. The first drive signal is outputted in accordance with the other operation state of the manual control device and the automatic control device and a second drive signal is outputted so that the operation state of a monitoring device 20 for a vehicle is adjusted according to the second signal instead of the first drive signal. The monitoring device 20 for a vehicle is, for example, a back mirror 34, a camera, or a display device. The operation state of the monitoring device for a vehicle is adjusted through, for example, movement or revolution of the back mirror 34, changing of the focusing position of the camera or zooming of the display device.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of times of unnecessary color changes and to widen a detecting possible range of glaring states, in an antiglaring mirror device for a vehicle using an electrochromic mirror.
SOLUTION: Two backward optical sensors 21 and 22 having partially overlapping detecting ranges are provided on a surface facing to the inside of the vehicle of the electrochromic room mirror 20. A difference of first backward light and second backward light detected by the optical sensors 21 and 22 is compared with a photoelectric response error for an optical sensor. When a difference between the first backward light is different from the second backward light and the photoelectric response error within a prescribed range, adjustment of reflectivity of the electrochromic mirror 20 is made impossible. When the difference exceeds the prescribed range, generation of the glaring states is determined to adjust the color of the electrochromic room mirror 20 according to intensity of light.

The control module M2 outputs a digitally coded signal responding to an operation of a switch lever 110 of a direction indicator on the bus 10. The control module M11 or M3 reads the digitally coded signal, decodes it, and actuates the direction indicator 111 or 115 according to the decoded information. The control module M0 reads the digitally recoded signal, decodes it, and turns the mirror 113 or 114 in the turning direction of the vehicle according to the decoded information so that the visibility angle becomes wide.
