According to an embodiment, the presentation recording appliance (PRA) receives multimedia presentation information comprising video information and/or audio information. The PRA may also receive information from external sources other than the first source. The audio and video information received by the PRA is then processed and stored in a format which facilitates subsequent retrieval.

摘要： Techniques for an iterative design process of determining a visual representation for an input media object are provided. One or more visual representations are determined from the input media object based on a set of encoding parameters. An output media object is then created from the one or more visual representations based on a set of decoding parameters. The one or more visual representations and/or the second media object may be displayed to a user. An indication indicating whether one or more visual representations and/or the second media object is acceptable or unacceptable is then received. If the one or more visual representations and/or the second media object is not acceptable, then at least one parameter in at least one of the set of encoding parameters and the set of decoding parameters may be changed. The process described above is then repeated until the one or more visual representations and the second media object is determined to be acceptable.

摘要： A multimedia projector/printer system capable of displaying, printing, and controlling all multimedia content associated with a multi-media document. The multimedia projector/printer has a multimedia image generator. A print driver interface is provided that allows users to “print” a multimedia document to the projector. The multimedia driver embeds instructions and codes within a document that are retrieved and removed before the projector produces an image. The instructions and codes indicate multimedia data to be fetched over the network. The multimedia projector/printer also provides the option to display multimedia data regardless of the software application from which created it.

These cached requests are processed and the requested information inserted into the user's notes document at a later time.

A ranked set of document, page and location hypotheses can be computed given data from the index table. The techniques effectively transform features detected in an image patch into textual terms (or other searchable features) that represent both the features themselves and the geometric relationship between them. A storage facility can be used to store additional characteristics about each document image patch.
