    • A polysiloxane composition containing fine particles of a metal or metal oxide on the surface of which an organosilicon group is present and a method for producing the same are provided. The polysiloxane composition contains a polysiloxane represented by average structural formula (A) and fine particles of a metal or metal oxide on the surface of which an organosilicon group represented by general formula (B) is fixed by means of chemical binding. The method for producing the aforementioned polysiloxane composition includes reacting the fine particles of a metal or metal oxide with the organosilicon compound having a monovalent organic group having an organic functional group, and a silicon atom-binding hydrolyzable group or a silanol group in the presence of water under conditions at a temperature of not less than 2000C, to simultaneously form a polysiloxane and fine particles of the metal or metal oxide on the surface of which the organosilicon group is fixed by means of chemical binding.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organopolysiloxane resin composition quickly curable by active energy ray irradiation and giving a cured product that includes no foam and is excellent in hydrolysis resistance, form retention and solvent resistance, high in light transmittance over communication wavelength band and slight in the change of its light transmittance and refractive index even if exposed to high temperatures and excellent in adhesiveness to the substrate, to provide optical transmission members having the properties, and to provide a method for producing the members.
      SOLUTION: The active energy ray (such as ultraviolet ray) -curable organopolysiloxane resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts. wt. of organopolysiloxane resin containing an epoxy group and an aromatic hydrocarbon group, (B) 0.05-20 pts. wt. of a photopolymerization initiator, (C) 0.01-20 pts. wt. of a photosensitizer or a photoradical generator, and (D) 0-5,000 pts. wt. of an organic solvent. The optical transmission member comprises cured products obtained by active energy ray (such as ultraviolet ray) irradiation to the composition. The method for producing the optical transmission members comprises active energy ray (such as ultraviolet ray) irradiation to the composition.
