摘要： A robotic drive system for a catheter-based procedure system includes a positioning system coupled to a patient table, the patient table having a front side and a rear side. The robotic drive system further includes a linear member coupled to the positioning system at a connection point and at least three device modules coupled to the linear member. Each device module is independently controllable and includes a drive module having a front side and a cassette mounted on the drive module. The cassette has a front side and is configured to support an elongated medical device having a longitudinal device axis. The cassette is mounted on the drive module in a vertical orientation so that the front side of the cassette is parallel to the front side of the drive.

摘要： A robotic catheter system includes a base and a robotic mechanism having a longitudinal axis and being movable relative to the base along the longitudinal axis. A flexible track is releasably secured to the base and includes an outer surface having a longitudinal opening slit extending therethrough to an inner channel. A rigid guide has a non-linear portion fixed relative to the robotic mechanism. A portion of the flexible track moves along the non-linear portion of the rigid guide away from the longitudinal axis when the robotic mechanism moves along the longitudinal axis.

The steps of advancing the guide wire and retracting and rotating the guide wire using guide wire advance/retract actuator and the guide wire rotate actuator are repeated until the guide wire is in the desired path. The guide wire is advanced to a desired position using the guide wire advance/retract actuator.
