    • The invention relates to a method for testing a computer programme after changing a first version of the computer programme into a second version of the computer programme as a result of updating the computer programme. The method comprises the following steps: (a) determining the mutations which can be installed in the first version of the computer programme and the mutations which can be installed in the second version of the computer programme and (b) comparing the first version of the computer programme with the second version of the computer programme to determine changed and unchanged mutations in the second version relative to the first version, where (b1) the mutations which can only be installed in the first version of the computer programme or only in the second version of the computer programme are classed as changed mutations and (b2) the mutations which can be installed in the first and in the second version are classed as unchanged.

    • The invention relates to a method for evaluating the quality of a computer program that, during execution, the input data and the output data of an integrated circuit are influenced. The method comprises the following steps: (a) preparing a mutated integrated circuit which is obtained by incorporating one or more functional mutations into the (unmutated) integrated circuit; (b) influencing the input data and the output data of the mutated integrated circuit during which the output data of the mutated integrated circuit are recorded; (c) comparing the hereby obtained output data obtained of the mutated integrated circuit with the output data that are expected when influencing the unmutated integrated circuit by the computer program, and; (d) evaluating the quality of the computer program on basis of the comparison results.
