摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent electric short circuit and provide a molten salt electrolyzing method to improve a uranium recovery efficiency by maintaining a constant concentration of uranium as a recovered substance in molten salt in order to precipitate fine dendrites almost uniformly on the surface of the solid cathode. CONSTITUTION:In this molten salt electrolyzing purification method, uranium and plutonium are reprocessed by electrolytically precipitating them in the form of dendrites on the solid cathode 6 soaked in the latter one of a molten cadmium phase 2 and a molten salt phase 3, both of which dissolve and include at least uranium among spent nuclear fuel. On this occasion, crystalline nuclei are precipitated almost uniformly on the surface of the solid cathode and dendrites are bred by selecting and setting at least the concentration of uranium in the molten salt phase 3 at 0.5 to 20wt.% and stirring it by the power set at 2.5X10 to 1X10 in Raynold's number.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve processing capacity by providing an insulating plate of a disk larger in diameter than a solid cathode in the lower part of the cathode. CONSTITUTION:The current distribution between liquid cadmium (anode) and the solid cathode 1 becomes the current distribution flowing perpendicularly to the side face of the cathode 1 when the insulating plate 7 larger in diameter than the cathode 1 is provided in the lower part of the cathode 1. Fuel components 2, such as uranium and plutonium, contained in used metal fuel 6 are, therefore, deposited on the surface of the cathode 1 and the electrical shorting between the deposits segregated near the lower part of the cathode 1 and the anode 3 is prevented. The local growth of the deposits segregated near the lower part of the cathode 1 and the contact thereof with the cadmium 3 are prevented in this way, by which the recovery quantity of the fuel components to be obtd. in one time of reprocessing operation is increased and the efficient execution of the reprocessing operation is possible.

摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently perform an electrolytic deposition on a cathode metallic phase by dissolving deposited metals in an insulating vessel while more uniformly diffusing deposited metals. CONSTITUTION:By using molten metals such as cadmium as an anode, a used metallic fuel dissolved in the molten metals is electrolytically deposited on molten cathode metals 6 in the insulating vessel 5 arranged in a fused salt electrolyte and fuel components contained in the used metallic fuel are refined and recovered. In a fused salt electrolytic refining device which thus recovers the fuel components and is provided with a stirring device 7 stirring the molten cathode metal by rotating a stirring blade 10, the stirring blade 10 of the stirring device 7 are formed so that the length of edge parts of the blade are adjacent to an inner peripheral surface of the insulating vessel 5. Further, downward slanting plate parts 10a generating downward flows with the rotation thereof are provided at the central part of the stirring blade 10 and circumferential direction slanting plate parts 10b generating flows along the circumferential direction with the rotation thereof are provided at the peripheral edge parts.

摘要： PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device by providing a specific stirrer. CONSTITUTION:The stirrer 10 is constituted by screwing impellers 12a, 12b to a stirring shaft 11 and is adjustable in mounting position. Baffle plates 13a, 13b are provided between the impellers 12a and 12b in the shaft 11. Plates 13a, 13b are so disposed as to hold the boundary between a molten metal 1 and a fused salt electrolyte 2 in-between when stirring is executed by the stirrer 10. The metal 1 and the electrolyte 2 flow in the direction opposite to the boundary along the shaft 11 and, therefore, the disturbance of the boundary face is prevented. The stirring is executed by one pipe of the shaft 11, by which the space occupied by the stirrer is lessened and the miniaturization and simplification of the device are attained.
