    • An interactive advertisement system and a method thereof are provided. The interactive advertisement system includes an advertiser server, a local advertisement server, and a service receiver. The advertiser server requests registration of advertisement information by setting advertisement ID including target service areas and provides services in response to an order of available services corresponding to the advertisement information. The local advertisement server stores and registers the advertisement information including the advertisement ID corresponding to the registration request of the advertiser server, multicasts the registered advertisement information with the advertisement ID through an IP network, and transmits information related to a service request to the advertiser server. The service receiver extracts advertisement information providing a corresponding service from the received advertisement information, outputs the extracted information through a user interface, requesting the local advertisement server to order the input service, and receives the corresponding service from the advertiser server.

    • Provided are an apparatus and method for managing customized channels in Internet Protocol (IP)-based broadcasting services. The apparatus includes: a monitored channel selection message receiver receiving a monitored channel selection message from a group manager of a viewing group consisting of customized channels that provide broadcast programs in real time according to a broadcast program list set by each viewer, wherein the monitored channel selection message contains information about a channel selected to be monitored by the group manager among the customized channels in the viewing group; a monitored channel provider transmitting a broadcast program being provided in real time over the channel selected to be monitored to the group manager; and a harmful channel blocking unit forcedly terminating the transmission of the broadcast program over the monitored channel upon receipt of a harm determination message notifying that the broadcast program being provided over the monitored channel is harmful from the group manager. The apparatus and method allow easy management of customized channels by blocking broadcast programs harmful to viewers over customized channels and providing the viewers with broadcast programs according to a preset schedule.

    • A personal-ordered multimedia data search service method and apparatuses thereof are provided. The apparatus includes: a server which extracts feature information and meta data of entire screen or partial region of each scene-image of multimedia to generate image index information, and then obtains and provides search result images and meta data having feature information similar to feature information of image query information by searching the image index information, when image query information is received; and a set-top box which plays multimedia, wherein when a user issues a request for searching an arbitrary for the playing multimedia, the set-top box extracts feature information of the entire or partial region of the image to generate the image query information and transmits the image query information requesting for searching the image by using the extracted feature information to the server, and after that, when the search result images and meta data are provided from the server, browses the search result images and meta data on a display apparatus.
