The detachable swivel can include a housing with an axial cavity; at least one retention device; and an internal body operable to mount within the axial cavity, the internal body operable to contact the at least one retention device, wherein the internal body axially translates within the axial cavity between a first position and. a second position; wherein an axial force applied to a portion of the internal body and away from the housing causes the internal body to translate between the first and second position.
