摘要： The present invention relates to combined therapy of cancer using an epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) inhibitor and a hepatocyte growth factor receptor (HGFR) inhibitor. Specifically, the EpCAM inhibitor is an antibody which is directed to an extracellular domain (EpEX) of EpCAM. The combined therapy is effective in inducing apoptosis of cancer cells, inhibiting migration/invasion of cancer cells, reducing tumor size, and/or prolonging survival of a cancer patient.

摘要： The invention provides nucleic acids, peptides, and antibodies for use in applications including diagnosis and therapy. The peptides target neovasculature and were identified by in vivo phage display. One such peptide, SP5-52, recognized the neovasculature of multiple tumors in SCED mice, but did not target normal blood vessels. This peptide also binds to blood vessels of human lung cancer biopsy specimens. Liposomes comprising SP5-52 and doxorubicin enhanced the efficacy of the drug against multiple human cancer xenografts in SCED mice.

摘要： An isolated antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof having a specific binding affinity to an epitope located within the domain 1 or domain 3 of human vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2; SEQ ID NO: 74) is disclosed. The epitope within the domain 3 of the VEGFR2 is located between amino acid residues 250 and 270 of SEQ ID NO: 74. Use of the antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof in the manufacture of a medicament for inhibiting tumor growth, tumor angiogenesis, and/or inducing cancer cell cytotoxicity in a subject in need thereof is also disclosed. Also disclosed is a method of detecting the presence of VEGFR2 in a tumor vascular endothelial cell or a cancer cell in a biological sample.
