摘要： Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and method for visual search and augmented reality, in which an onscreen body of visual markers overlayed on the interface signals the current state of an image recognition process. Specifically, the body of visual markers may take on a plurality of behaviors, in which a particular behavior is indicative of a particular state. Thus, the user can tell what the current state of the scanning process is by the behavior of the body of visual markers. The behavior of the body of visual markers may also indicate to the user recommended actions that can be taken to improve the scanning condition or otherwise facilitate the process. In various embodiments, as the scanning process goes from one state to another state, the onscreen body of visual markers may move or seamlessly transition from one behavior to another behavior, accordingly.

At least a second image and preferably a third image of the first planar surface in the real-world environment is then acquired using the at least one camera, the second image and the third image comprising different views of the first planar surface acquired at different positions and a distance and orientation of the first planar surface in the real-world environment is then determined based at least on the sensor bias value and positional data associated with the second image and the third image. A representation of a first object is then display in a camera view on a display screen of the computing device, the camera view including an image of the real-world environment and the representation of the first object appearing to be situated on the first planar surface at a first size in accordance with the determined distance and orientation

摘要： A markerless approach to displaying an image of a virtual object in an environment may be accomplished. A computing device 104 is used to capture an image of a real-world environment; including a planar surface 114 with a minimum threshold set of features. A second image is also captured during a movement of the device around the planar surface. One or more virtual objects which do not exist in the real-world environment are displayed in the image, such as by being positioned in a manner that they appear to be resting on the planar surface, based at least on a sensor bias value and scale information obtained by capturing multiple image views of the real-world environment. An inertial measurement unit with a tri-axis accelerometer and tri-axis gyroscope is used. The distance and orientation of the planar surface are also determined.
