    • Provided is a steel frame connecting structure with an omega-shaped steel damper having excellent deformation ability and energy absorbing ability in the event of earthquake and being easily repaired and reinforced after earthquake. According to a preferable embodiment of the present invention, the steel frame connecting structure comprises: a steel column; a steel beam having an end part located vertical to the steel column at the distance for ensuring the predetermined movement; at least one upper connection member which has one end bolted to an upper flange on an end part of the steel beam to be overlapped and the other end bolted to the flange of the steel column; and a lower connection member which has one end bolted to a lower flange on an end part of the steel beam to be overlapped and the other end bolted to the flange of the steel column and resisting by elasto-plastic deformation.

    • The present invention discloses a brace-type damper, which is coupled with a vibration control device applying both viscoelastic deformation of high damping rubber and elastoplastic deformation of steel materials to a brace. The brace-type damper according to the present invention comprises a connection tube, which is an angular steel tube with a hollow inside and has a plastic link on the top and bottom surface in one end; a first brace, which is a length material with a cross section smaller than the hollow of the connection tube and has two and more joining surfaces joined to the connection tube, and which is inserted into the hollow of one end side of the connection tube in one end and is connected to the connection tube through the joining surfaces; a second brace, which is a length material having the same cross section with that of the first brace and is inserted into the hollow of the connection tube in one end to be separated from the first brace; and a viscoelastic rubber pad, which is inserted into the gap between the joining surface of the second brace and the connection tube where the second brace and the connection tube are overlapped. The viscoelastic rubber pad resists elastic deformation against a small-scale earthquake like wind load and absorbs vibrational energy. The plastic link of the connection tube is plastically deformed and dissipates earthquake energy when a design earthquake or any greater earthquake load occurs.
