The flowed-out water is passed through a filter material 3 moving while forming a surface of angle of repose by rotation and purified by a filtering surface 15 to be flowed out to a third water distributing pipe 23 from a second water flowing part 9 through a second flow pipe 10. In this case, the supernatant water of the raw water is also flowed out to the water distributing pipe 23 from a water flooding port 18 by the opening degree of a valve 33 or the passing degree of the filtering surface. In washing, the purified water of a fourth water distributing pipe 4 is reversely flowed to rinse the filtering surface 15 and to wash a filter material 3 while sewage having fine dust mixed therein is flowed to a second water distributing pipe 22 from the first flow part 7 and a sewage discharge port 19. By this method, the filtering surface is rinsed by extremely simple change-over and water purification can be continued.
