    • The present invention relates to a system switching system in an exchange system in which an ATM switch for exchanging asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) cells is duplexed. In order to switch between ATM switches accurately with drop-out and overlap of cells eliminated, at the input side of the ATM switches, a bit indicating active is inserted into the header of a cell from a transmission line for application to the switch in the active system and a bit indicating standby is inserted into the header of a cell for application to the switch in the standby system and, at the output side of the ATM switches, bits in the headers of cells output from respective switches are referred to and only active indicating cells are selected to be output to a transmission line. Buffers for storing active indicating cells are provided at the outputs of the ATM switches, respectively. At the time of switching between systems, cell input to the old active system is stopped, active indicating cells are stored in the buffer in the active system, and active indicating cells stored in the buffer in the new active system are output after all the active indicating cells in the old active system have been output.

    • A cleaning device for contact lenses includes a housing having a cleaning chamber, a stirring device for generating a liquid flow within the cleaning chamber, a heating device for boiling a liquid in the cleaning chamber, a feeding device for feeding the liquid into the cleaning chamber, a discharging device, a feeding amount detecting device for detecting a feeding amount of the liquid which is fed into the cleaning chamber, an operation controlling device for giving a signal to the stirring device, the heating device, the feeding device and the discharging device in response to the feeding amount of the liquid detected by the feeding amount detecting device, respectively and for performing a cleaning process, plural rinsing processes and a boil process. The feeding amount detecting device has a binary output type of liquid level sensor which detects a single liquid level in order to control a first feeding amount in the cleaning process, the last rinsing process and the boil process and a feeding timer which detects a feeding time for controlling a second feeding amount in the other of rinsing processes to be smaller than the first feeding amount. It is thus possible to decrease the consumption rate of the liquid without increasing the size of the device and complicating the structure of the device.

Due to the function of the nitrogen-rich gas supplying device, the nitrogen concentration can be maintained within the storing volume at a proper level all the time, and therefore the respiration of the fresh foods stored in the storing volume is inhibited, thereby contributing to keeping the fresh foods in a fresh state, and preventing rotting. Further, a pressure regulator prevents the leaking of the cooled nitrogen-rich gas from the interior of the storing volume to the outside.
