    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deodorizing a livestock shed, capable of producing a large effect at a reduced cost, and to provide a mechanism for deodorizing the same.
      SOLUTION: This mechanism for deodorizing the livestock shed is used for deodorizing an offensive odor in the livestock shed S caused by excrement of livestock, wherein the mechanism is equipped with a baking furnace 2 which bakes a vegetable material and a chimney stack 4 which communicates with the baking furnace 2 and opens into the inside of the livestock shed S. Thus, the vegetable material is baked in the baking furnace 2, then smoke formed by baking the material is introduced into the livestock shed S through the chimney stack 4, so as to fill the livestock shed S, and therefore the offensive odor in the livestock shed S caused by the excrement of the livestock is deodorized.

The safety of handling can be raised and the weeding cost can be suppressed to a low level.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time, labor, and cost for treating bean curd refuse, i.e. a by-product of bean curd, most of which is now incinerated without being utilized, and to realize not only a treatment for bean curd refuse which is now an industrial waste generated in a large quantity in processing bean curd but also an effective utilization of bean curd refuse with an added value added thereto. SOLUTION: An aqueous slurry containing bean curd refuse is reacted in a first reactor at 295°C for 2 min to be subjected to hydrolysis and dehydration decomposition. The resultant product is sent to a second reactor wherein, after oxygen in an amount of 72% is supplied, the product is reacted at 295°C for 2 min, and then sent to a cooler to be cooled to 40°C, thereby forming a silica component and carbon dioxide gas. The silica component is separated with a solid-liquid separator, and the carbon dioxide gas is separated with a gas-liquid separator and finally subjected to a membrane separation with a zeolite membrane, enabling the synthesis of acetic acid with an enhanced concentration and purity. Thus, bean curd refuse, which is an industrial waste produced in a large quantity in processing bean curd, can be effectively utilized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
