    • A valve unit includes a valve portion arranged in a laminate body operable to open and close a flow passage; a drive portion that generates drive force for driving the valve portion; and a transmission portion arranged between the valve portion and the drive portion for transmitting the drive force of the drive portion to the valve portion. The laminate body includes: a first plate member including the drive portion; and a second plate member including a hole functioning as part of the flow passage; and a third plate member arranged above the second plate member and including a plate spring so as to urge the valve portion to a closing position. The valve portion pivots and inclines about a position in contact with the plate spring based on the drive force from the drive portion.

    • There is provided a liquid ejecting head which can introduce a liquid in a liquid storage member to a pressure chamber side via a liquid flow path from a liquid introducing needle and which can eject a liquid in the pressure chamber from a nozzle opening as a liquid drop by operation of a pressure generator. The liquid introducing needle constructed in a hollow needle shape includes an introducing needle portion in which a liquid introducing through hole for introducing a liquid in the liquid storage member is opened, and a cylindrical enlarged diameter straight portion formed at the downstream side of the introducing needle portion and whose inner diameter is enlarged than the inner diameter of the introducing needle portion. The inner space of the enlarged diameter straight portion is to be a bubble chamber which can store a bubble and the enlarged diameter straight portion includes a groove portion extending from the upstream side toward the down stream side on the inner circumference surface.

    • A color thermal printer for printing a full-color image in frame-sequential fashion to a color thermosensitive recording sheet (12) including yellow, magenta and cyan coloring layers (26-28). A fixing station is disposed next to a thermal head (18). One of first and second fixing devices (30, 31) is alternatively set in a fixing station. While recording a yellow frame on the recording sheet transported in a forward direction to the fixing station, the first fixing device (30) is set in the fixing station to project ultraviolet rays for fixing the yellow coloring layer (28) onto the recording sheet. While the recording sheet temporarily stops with its end nipped between a pair of transport rollers, a shutter plate (70) is inserted between the recording sheet and the first fixing device still projecting the ultraviolet rays, at the same speed as the transport speed of the recording sheet to uniformly and sufficiently fix as much area of the recording sheet as possible. After the yellow fixation, the recording sheet is moved in a reverse direction toward the thermal head. While recording a magenta frame, the second fixing device (31) generates ultraviolet rays for fixing the magenta coloring layer (27).

The recording sheet (12) is fixed in a fixing station by the first and second fixing lamps (30, 31; 70, 71; 76, 77), which are supported by a fixer support device (35, 72, 74) in fashion selectively settable in the fixing station. The two fixing lamps (30, 31; 70, 71; 76, 77) are arrangeable substantially equally near to the two transport rollers (22) when set in the fixing station.
