摘要： An optical transmitter for use in position location or position measurement systems includes (i) an assembly including two optical sources that generate two optical beams which diverge in known ways in a first and second plane, respectively, and are narrow in the orthogonal planes, (ii) a power source which provides power to the assembly to rotate it at a constant angular velocity or with a previously known pattern of velocities through each complete rotation of the assembly, and (iii) a signaling unit that emits a synchronization signal at a specific rotational position of the assembly. The optical transmitter can be used in systems for determining points, lines, planes, distances, areas, volumes, azimuth, elevation, range, angles, or any other positional or spatial variable. The optical transmitter has wide application in, for example, surveying, construction, and the creation of virtual or real environments.

A hinged linkage (17) is provided having a first end (18) rotatably engaged with the first member and a second end (19) rotatably engaged with the second member. The linkage (17) is moveable between a collapsed position and an over-centre locked position which prevents relative movement of the first member (2) towards the second member (6). Linkage unlocking means(28) are provided which move the hinge (22) away from the over-centre locked position so that the first and second members can be moved together. A similar linkage (10) prevents unwanted movement of a needle shroud (8). A needle shroud (8) which can be used to remove the needle (7) from the injector (100) is also described.

摘要： A trigger operated syringe (100) for intramammary injection of antibiotics has a fluid containing syringe cartridge (203) activated by a plunger (206) which is inserted into the syringe cartridge (203A) and expels fluid when the trigger (205) is pulled. A syringe cartridge holding mechanism (223) holds the syringe cartridge in place until the trigger (205) is released and the plunger (206) retracted. Single syringe cartridge (203) and multiple syringe cartridge (204) versions are disclosed. The plunger moves in a direction which is effectively perpendicular to the direction of movement of the trigger, allowing for ease of injection to a cow's teats, and ejection of the spent cartridges.
