    • The present invention relates to a body bag. In a preferred embodiment, the body bag comprises a plane member having an elongated portion (20) with two widths and two lengths, a rectangular-shaped flap portion (22) connected to a length of said elongated portion (20), a rounded arched portion (24) connected to each width of said elongated portion (20), an outer surface (26), an inner surface (28), curved corners and peripheral side edges; and a re-closable closure means (32) connected to the peripheral side edges of the plane member. The plane member is made of a flexible sheet material. In use, the corpse is placed on to the inner surface (28) of the elongated portion (20) of the laid opened body bag, then each rounded arch portion (24) is maneuvered together with the flap portion (22) to cover the corpse, and the closure means (32) is operated to close the body bag to contain the corpse. Advantageously, the flexible construction allows the rounded arch portion (24) to be flexed to a generally perpendicular position in relation to the elongated portion (20) thereby increasing the volume enclosed by the body bag.

    • The present invention relates to a body bag (20). In a preferred embodiment, the body bag (20) comprises a single flat member (30) having a central portion (34) and two wing portions (36), an outer surface, an inner surface (28) and peripheral side edges; and re-closable closure means (32) connected to the peripheral side edges. The flat member (30) is made of a flexible sheet material that comprises at least one layer of a fluid impermeable material. In use, the body bag (20) is opened and its central portion (34) positioned to overlay a bed. The wing portions (36) are folded and packed. The patient rests upon the inner surface (28) of the central portion (34). If the patient dies, the wing portions (36) are unpacked and the re-closable closure means (32) operated to close the body bag (20) to contain the corpse.

    • The present invention relates to an inflatable casualty/cadaver/body bag. In a preferred embodiment, the inflatable casualty bag comprises a flexible hull, and a closure 32 connected to the hull. The hull has an outer surface 26, an inner surface 28 and peripheral side edges. The hull comprises an elongated inflatable central base member 34 and a pair of foldable wing members 36. The elongated central member has two lengths and two widths, with a wing cover member 36 connected to each length of the central member 34. The hull is symmetrical in shape about an imaginary longitudinal midline axis, with a left half and a right half. The closure 32, preferably in the form of a zipper or hook-and-loop fastener, is connected to the peripheral side edges of the hull, and is operable to connect the peripheral edges of the two halves of the hull together to form the casualty bag enclosure. The central member 34 may comprise an inflatable bladder (70, figure 1) connected to a valve and inflation tube.

    • The present invention relates to a responder mobilization device 30 for mobilizing a resuscitation team, and a related system and method therefor. The responder mobilization device 30 comprises a transmitter 35 having a unique identifier, and a mobilization activation means 40. During a resuscitation emergency, user actuation of the mobilization activation means 40 activates the transmitter 35 to establish a uni-directional communications link with the control station 50, and to transmit the unique identifier to the control station 50. The control station 50 processes and interprets the unique identifier to determine the parking location of the trolley, and notifies the resuscitation team. Another aspect of the present invention provides a system for mobilizing a resuscitation team, the system comprising at least one responder mobilization device 30 capable of establishing a uni- directional communications link with a control station 50. Another aspect of the present invention provides a method for mobilizing a resuscitation team using a responder mobilization device 30.
