    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the amount of time it takes for assembling an electrochemical cell and to avoid waste before cell production is started. SOLUTION: The electrochemical cell includes a can and a jelly roll disposed in the can. The jelly roll includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode, wherein positive winding foils protrude from a positive end of the jelly roll and negative winding foils protrude from a negative end of the jelly roll. The positive winding foils are folded in a same direction to overlap each other in a first pattern of recesses and the negative winding foils are folded in a same direction to overlap each other in a second pattern of recesses. A positive disk includes a plurality of leg forms welded into the first pattern of recesses formed in the positive winding foils. A negative disk includes a plurality of leg forms welded into the second pattern of recesses formed in the negative winding foils.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic system for batteries, capable of managing charging of a battery so that an optimum charge state is maintained, and capable of surely discharging, with high reliability, electric power, with no interruption, when the battery is requested to supply the electric power.
      SOLUTION: The electronic system for batteries includes a battery charging circuit 30 equipped with a charger K3C, a first battery discharging circuit 20 equipped with a discharge switch K2, a constituting part D3 which assures duration of discharging, and an electronic control unit which controls open operation and close operation of the discharge switch K2 and also controls the charger K3C. The control unit keeps charging to the battery until discharging is requested. When a power request is detected from an applicable device, charging from the battery is interrupted and the discharge switch K2 is set to a close position. The constituting part D3 flows a discharge current in the transit step of closing the discharge switch K2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bypass device for a battery for isolating and bypassing a failed battery module made up of secondary cells to allow the battery to continue operating under slightly degraded conditions. SOLUTION: This electric bypass device includes a first actuator and a second actuator which are triggered if the module has a failure. The actuators are each equipped with first, second and third terminals. The first and second terminals are electrically connected to an output terminal of the secondary cell, and the third terminal can be switched between the first and second terminals. The third terminal of the actuator is switched when the actuator is triggered.
