摘要： The device for exercising the legs, particularly following surgical operations, consists of a platform on which the patient stands, and which is tilted so that the patient needs to move his legs and body to keep his balance. The platform has a spherical body attached to the centre of its underside to provide the pivot point. Attachments can be added to control the tilting action of the platform. Equally spaced around the centre, are four tapped holes to enable one or more fittings to be added. Smaller fittings give more tilt then larger fittings. The can also be added in different arrangements to control the direction of tilt.

[Class 12 (i)] A cone, cup, or journal bearing of glass, plastic material or a jewel is made by inserting the bearing material in an unfashioned mounting and then shaping the bearing and the mounting with the same machine setting. The mounting may be shrunk on to the bearing or the bearing material heated and pressed into the mounting. In the latter case, a metal rod 3 with a central hole 2 is formed with a mouth 4 and undercut recess 5 and heated, a glass rod being pressed into the mouth until it softens and fills the recess. On cooling, the front is ground down for a distance l, the rod 3 is turned to its full diameter d and the exterior shaped such as by screw threads 11 and the bearing surface 12 is then fashioned. A hole 13 is then drilled from the rear, an end stone 14 and bush 15 inserted and the mounting is then parted off to its final length l 3 . The thermal coefficients of the mounting and bearing should be such that on cooling the bearing is firmly gripped without cracking.

摘要： A pre-insulated prefab wall panel comprising of a rectangular wall frame having top and bottom rail members and a plurality of spaced apart stud members aligned between the top and bottom rail members. A polystyrene boardstock is affixed to a first side of the rectangular wall frame, thereby defining with the top and bottom rail members and the plurality of stud members a plurality of rectangular cavities, wherein each cavity has a depth of the thickness of a stud member. The prefab wall panel further has a layer of foamed-in-place polyurethane covering a portion of each cavity adjoining the boardstock, and bonding the structural wall frame to the polystyrene boardstock. The layer of polyurethane foam has a thickness which is substantially less than the depth of each cavity, whereby each cavity has available space for accommodating sub-trade installations.
