    • A power hammer has a handle mounted to a housing and capable of limited movement relative thereto. A hollow axle is attached to the housing and is rotatable between a first and second position and is biased towards the first position by a torsional spring which extends within the axle. Rotation of the axle causes rotation of arms connected thereto. Connectors are slidably mounted within guides and are respectively connected at one end to each of the arms and at the other end to the handle. Vibrations in the housing cause movement of one end of the handle, which causes movement of the associated connector and arm. Movement of the one arm causes rotation of the axle, which therefore causes movement of the other arm and connector, and the other end of the handle. Thus, the movement of one end of the handle is coupled to the other end.

    • A handle assembly for a reciprocating hammer tool comprises a handle for gripping, a guide rod, and an elongate aperture which slidably engages the guide rod to ensure that the handle assembly is aligned with the hammer. The handle assembly also comprises an air filled chamber bounded by a rubber membrane and disposed in a recess in the hammer housing. The air filled chamber is adapted to damp vibration during use of the reciprocating hammer. An engaging member formed integrally with handle is disposed adjacent the rubber membrane. The engaging member can move from a position in which the engaging member is inserted into the recess and fully compresses the air chamber, to a position in which the handle is pulled upwardly until the guide rod abuts the bottom edge of the elongate aperture. In this later position, the air chamber is placed under minimum compression.

    • Differential pressure brake boosters are known having a reinforcement tube extending axially through the low-pressure casing with its ends fastened to both end surfaces of the casing. A mechanically actuated control valve for connecting the working chamber to the low-pressure chamber or to atmosphere is axially movable in the reinforcement tube. A sleeve surrounding a master cylinder piston push rod has radial ribs extending through longitudinal slots of the reinforcement tube to connect the push rod to the movable wall. These ribs are subjected to a high bending stress. According to the present invention the radial ribs are constructed as flat tongues disposed in a common plane, the tongues being engaged on a side thereof adjacent the low-pressure chamber by an outwardly angled collar of an extension of the housing of the control valve. The distance between the rolling diaphragm of the movable wall adjacent the reinforcement tube and the end of the longitudinal slots adjacent the work chamber is at least equal to half the power stroke of the axially movable wall.

    • A brake booster comprising a housing which is divided into a vacuum chamber and a working chamber by a movable wall. A tube is disposed in the housing coaxial of the longitudinal axis thereof having its ends fastened to the end walls of the housing. The tube is provided with longitudinal slots in the vacuum chamber which are open remote from the movable wall. Parts of the movable wall project through the slots and are fastened to a valve housing extending into the tube, the valve housing containing a control valve which controls the pressure in the working chamber. This arrangement allows a short overall length of the booster and enables easy assembly thereof with respect to known prior art brake boosters.
