In suspension means for enabling the frame of a trailer or front-wheel-drive vehicle to be lowered to the ground during loading and unloading, tandem wheels 2, 3 are carried by arms 5 extending in opposite directions from respective transverse pivots 6, levers 8 coupled to the arms 5 are connected by an hydraulic ram 15 operable to rotate the arms 5 about the pivots 6, and means are provided for locking the levers 8 in the position corresponding to the normal running position of the arms 5. To permit resilient deflection of the arms 5 during running, the levers 8 are coupled to the arms 5 by oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers 12 as shown, or in another embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown), the levers 8 are formed by leaf springs coupled to the arms by rigid struts. The suspension is secured in the running position by a hooked latch 18 actuated by an hydraulic ram 18b, or by latch means (Fig. 3, not shown), arranged to prevent displacement of the piston in the ram 15, or by a valve preventing displacement of the fluid in the ram. Torsion bars (not shown) connect the arms 5 on opposite sides of the vehicle. The ram 15 is controlled by an hydraulic circuit including a manual control valve for admitting to the ram fluid supplied by a pump from a reservoir.

In suspension means for enabling the frame of a trailer or front wheel drive vehicle to be lowered to the ground during loading and unloading, a longitudinal wheel arm 5 is pivoted at one end to the frame 1 about a transverse axis and carries a wheel adjacent to its other end, the arm 5 forming the lower member of a triangular structure of which the remaining members are an upwardly-extending lever arm 8 and a strut 12 connected between the arm 5 and the lever arm 8, upward and downward movement of the wheel when travelling being accommodated either by an oleo-pneumatic shock absorber incorporated in the strut 12 as shown, or by a leaf spring forming the lever arm 8 whilst the triangular structure presents relative rigidity in a direction at right-angles to its own plane and upward and downward for lowering and raising the frame being accommodated by angular movement of the triangular structure under the control of an hydraulic ram 15 connected between the triangular structure and an anchorage 33 on the frame 1.     • Disclosed is a wind power production apparatus useable on a surface subjected to wind, comprising: a. an anchor (12) fixed to the surface, said anchor possessing a rotatable base (16); b. a chute (20) inflatable by wind, said chute having a chamber (30) for passage of wind, said chute chamber having an entrance (26) and an exit (28), said chute chamber exit including a least one nozzle for directing wind from said chamber; c. a connector (32) for holding said chute to said anchor rotatable base; d. a chamber exit restrictor (54), at least a portion of said restrictor located within said chute chamber immediately adjacent said chute chamber exit; e. a power generator (58) receiving wind from said nozzle or nozzles of said chute chamber, said power generator including a mechanism being motivated by said wind received from said nozzle or nozzles of said chute chamber; and f. a platform (70) for supporting said generator, said platform being linked to said chute, said platform further including a moving mechanism (74) for permitting said platform and said generator to travel relative to the surface and said anchor.

    • Improvements in an ejector-less vacuum creation pump using suction from a low vibration and noise Eddy pump to create vacuum from the suction side of the pump volute where a liquid tornado effect feeds into an Eddy current effect located in the tornado center. Low heat is transferred to the fluid used to create the vacuum. The piping provides a fully open looped system, enabling self-priming of the pump where 2″ solid objects can pass thru the pump without clogging or plugging the pump. Fluid can be pumped in any direction with up to a 4 psi head pressure using the pump as a dedicated discharge pump and for quicker discharging of a VCHT tank at increased head pressures. This pump implement continuous vacuum creation, maintaining 18 Hg with a vacuum release valve to prevent build-up of urine crystals and other pipe clogging issues.
