    • A process converts a fluid to an ultra-fine dry powder comprising a mixture of ingredients. Ingredients are reduced to a residual moisture of 0.1- 1% by weight of non-agglomerated pouring material whose particles are in the micro- and/or nano-range. The fluid-phase particles are subject to partial flash-evaporation, thus forming a fine-particulate part-dried solid substance followed by mill-drying. The initial material comprises a solution and/or an ultra-fine suspension of the solids. The fluid phase uses water. The two drying stages and the mill-drying process are undertaken in a flowing hot air environment, provided that this does not cause unwanted secondary reactions. The flash-drying process is carried out at a pressure of 5-300 bar, and also at a normal pressure and at a temperature above that of the boiling point liquid phase to be removed, preferably 30-90C. The incoming fine powder material is released into the flash stage expansion chamber at low pressure and with pre-heated hot (150-250 degreesC) air before release to the mill-drying stage. The flash-drying may be a single- or multi-stage process. The mixture may contain additives ,e.g. milling agents, de-flocculating agents, dispersion agents. The additives may be introduced prior to the flash-drying stage or prior to the dry milling stage.

    • The object of the invention is to develop a coating system for dust-free enzyme granulates which opposes the destruction of the surface of an enzyme-containing granulate when uniformly applied thereon, improves the storage stability of the enzyme by creating a protective coating over the whole granulate, covers any inherent colouring of the uncoated enzyme granulate, eliminates any disagreeable smell of the uncoated granulate and ensures the solubility of the coated granulate. To attain this purpose, an enzyme granulate is disclosed which contains enzyme, an inorganic and/or organic substrate and a uniform, outer pigment-containing coating layer which consists of a coating system which contains 5 wt. % to 70 wt. % of a finely divided inorganic, water-insoluble pigment, 45 wt. % to 90 wt. % of a water-soluble organic substance solid at room temperature and with a melting point in a range from 45 DEG C to 65 DEG C, and up to 20 wt. % of a flowability improving agent.
