摘要： A greetings card (10) formed from a pair of first and second leaves (11, 12) divided by a hinge line (13), includes confetti ejection apparatus, in the form of a confetti chamber (14) mounted on an inner surface of the second leaf (12). A confetti ejection member (26) is mounted for movement within the chamber (14). Deployment of the ejection member (26) is prevented when the card (10) is closed, by means of a retainer (23) mounted on an inner surface of the first leaf (11). However, when the card (10) is opened, the retainer (23) is released, allowing deployment of the ejection member (26), and thus causing ejection of a measure of confetti (25) held within the chamber (14).

This cylindrical surface is oriented so the face (28, 30) will strike a golf ball (24) perpendicular to the direction one desires the ball (24) to travel if hit at the central location of this surface (28, 30), but will deflect the ball (24) in a different direction if a location other than the central location of the face (28, 30) strikes the ball (24). This training putter (14) may have symmetrical hitting faces (28, 30) so that left-handed and right-handed golfers can use it.

A virtual reality surgical training simulator may have a rendering engine, a physics engine, a metrics engine, a graphical user interface, and a human machine interface. The rendering engine can display a three-dimensional representation of a surgical site containing visual models of organs and surgical tools located at the surgical site. The physics engine can perform a variety of calculations in real time to represent realistic motions of the tools, organs, and anatomical environment. A graphical user interface can be present to allow a user to control a simulation. Finally, a metrics engine may be present to evaluate user performance and skill based on a variety of parameters that can be tracked during a simulation.

In one embodiment, the first consumer arranges to purchase an item at a first price. The merchant transmits a transferable item price code to the first consumer. The first consumer sends the transferable item price code to the second consumer, such as by including the transferable item price code in an e-mail message. The second consumer transmits the transferable item price code to the merchant to establish that he or she is entitled to purchase the item at the first price.

摘要： According to one described embodiment, a method is provided in which transaction information is determined. The transaction information is associated with (i) a buyer who has arranged to purchase a product from a central controller at a first price established between the buyer and the central controller and (ii) a merchant that offers the product for sale at a second price, different from the first price, without offering the product for sale to buyers at the first price. Information is transmitted that facilitates the acquisition of the product by the buyer, in exchange for payment provided by the buyer to the central controller. An amount based on the second price is provided to the merchant.

A garnish shelf extends from an upper edge of the rocker garnish such that the garnish shelf is substantially perpendicular to the rocker garnish. A riser portion extends from an inboard edge of the garnish shelf in a substantially vertical direction. A cap shelf extends from a top edge of the riser portion in an inboard direction. When the rocker molding is installed on the rocker panel of the vehicle, the garnish shelf extends from the rocker panel in an outboard direction, the riser portion is substantially flush with a skin of a vehicle door when the door is in a closed position, and a bottom edge of the vehicle door is spaced apart from the garnish shelf by at least a height H of the riser portion.
