    • The invention relates to a suspension damper assembly including a damper comprising two ends, a cylinder (2), a piston (3), and two volumes (4, 5) defined inside the cylinder, separated by the piston, the latter being equipped with main passages (25) for the fluid from one volume to the other, the said damper further including a device for adjusting its damping force which comprises: an additional passage for the fluid, connecting the two volumes of the damper; a valve located on the additional passage and including an element (32) for closing off this additional passage; and, a member (39-40) for adjusting the position of the said shut-off element. According to the invention, the damper assembly further comprises a sensor (59-60) for measuring an operating parameter of the damper, the output from the said sensor being connected to the member (40) for adjusting the position of the said shut-off element (32) of the valve. One application is the production of effective suspension for a vehicle.

    • An inductance enhanced rotary traveling wave oscillator is disclosed. Portions of the transmission line conductors are increased in length and run in parallel. Because the currents in these portions travel in the same direction, the inductance of these inductors is increased. By controlling the length of the transmission line conductors in these areas compared to the lengths in which the currents travel in opposite directions, the overall impedance of the oscillator can be increased. Increased impedance leads to lower power, higher Q, and lower phase noise for the oscillator. Additionally, the folded nature of the transmission line conductors permits a longer length of transmission line conductors to be routed in a smaller area. The folded nature also permits placement of the devices to take into account their switching delays. A folded circular version of the oscillator is possible, leading to improved access to phase taps on the oscillator.

    • A method of arranging and fabricating parallel primary and secondary coils of a wideband planar transformer is provided. The spacing and width of the coils are disposed to extend the bandwidth from DC to GHz and allow for high frequency coupling when the core permeability dramatically drops and achieves low reflected energy and low loss over a wide bandwidth. A bottom mold having a pattern of hole-pairs with conductive elements inserted vertically couples to a top mold such that a middle portion of the conductive elements spans between the top and bottom molds. Dielectric material envelopes the middle portion and a displacement feature of the mold creates a vacancy. A ferrite element is deposited to the vacancy. A second top mold spans the bottom mold and dielectric material is deposited to create a molded assembly. A deposited patterned conductive coating connects the element ends to define the transformer coils.
