摘要： A base station serves multiple user terminals via a relay node in a cell of a wireless network. The base station includes a time division scheme selection unit that selects a time division scheme from multiple time division schemes that optimizes a parameter associated with network coding of data transmitted between the multiple user terminals and the base station via the relay node. The base station further includes a transmission allocation unit that allocates uplink and/or downlink transmission intervals and interval lengths, based on the selected time division scheme, to each of the multiple user terminals and to the relay node. The base station also includes a notification message unit that notifies the multiple user terminals and the relay node of their respective transmission interval and interval length allocation.

摘要： A data communication method involves combine space time encoding a first set of multiple data elements into a combined space time coded data element. A second set of at least one data element is likewise space time coded into a space time coded data element. The combined data element is transmitted at a transmission slot by a first antenna (112) of a multi-antenna system (110) simultaneously as a second antenna (114) of the system transmits the space time coded data element. The combination STC coding of multiple data elements allows provision of a balance between spatial multiplexing gain and diversity gain in the data transmission and still achieves code rates of more than one.

摘要： A method and arrangement for retransmission control. A method in a sending system entity for controlling retransmissions of data to a sending system entity is provided. Initial data encoded with a first forward error correction code is sent 200 to the receiving system entity. When transmitted initial data is determined to be affected by errors at the receiving system entity, the sending system entity receives 202 a request to retransmit the initial data combined 204 by new data encoded with a second forward error correction code in a combined data stream which is encoded 206 with a third forward error correction code before being sent 208 to the receiving system entity. By combining initial data and encoded new data in a combined data stream when resending, an effective and flexible procedure for retransmissions is achieved, which doesn't introduce any substantial delay of the data.

摘要： According to teachings presented herein, pilot symbols are staggered in time, to better distribute them across the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols within an ongoing series of transmitted OFDM frames. For example, the stagge insertion pattern can be defined to make the number of pilots transmitted in each OFDM symbol time equal, thereby equalizing the peak transmit power across time. Correspondingly, the data symbols for given users are also staggered accordingly, so th channel estimation by those users can be achieved by interpolation, which is often more accurate than extrapolation.

摘要： A method, radio network node, adapting device, and base station for selecting a spatial transmission scheme to be used for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) transmissions to a mobile terminal in a telecommunications system based on a current velocity of said terminal is described. The method comprises deriving a transmission scheme indicator via a mobile terminal link and selecting one scheme from a prestored set of transmission schemes based on the indicator. Thereby a more optimal selection of the spatial transmission scheme may be accomplished for each user, something which enhances the user experience and also significantly improves the throughput/capacity and spectral efficiency of the system.
