    • A flat panel display capable of preventing a chipping phenomenon of a pixel definition layer, and a method for making the same are disclosed. The flat panel display includes a thin film transistor formed on a substrate; a planarization layer formed on the thin film transistor; a first electrode layer formed on the planarization layer and electrically connected with the thin film transistor through the via hole formed in the planarization layer; a pixel definition layer formed on the planarization layer and in which an opening for at least partially exposing the first electrode layer is formed; an adhesive reinforcement layer formed at least between the planarization layer and the pixel definition layer on the top of the planarization layer; an emitting layer formed on the first electrode layer; and a second electrode layer formed on the emitting layer and the pixel definition layer. The flat panel display has an improved adhesive property between a pixel definition layer and an planarization layer, which prevents a chipping phenomenon of the pixel definition layer.

    • A method of manufacturing an organic light emitting device by which a pixel defining layer can be easily formed. The method includes: forming a first electrode on a substrate; forming a photoresist layer to cover the first electrode; patterning the photoresist layer and forming a blocking layer so that the blocking layer is on a side of the first electrode opposite to a side facing the substrate; forming a pixel defining layer on the substrate to cover side ends of the first electrode; removing the blocking layer and exposing the side of the first electrode contacting the blocking layer; forming an intermediate layer including an organic light emitting layer on the side of the first electrode that is exposed by removing the blocking layer; and forming a second electrode on the intermediate layer.

The organic light emitting display device includes a substrate having a pixel region in which pixels are formed and a non-pixel region in which a light sensor is formed, an insulating film formed on the substrate, a first electrode formed on the insulating film and formed of a reflective material reflecting light, the first electrode being formed on the entire surface of the insulating film except for a region between the pixels and a region over the light sensor, a pixel defining film exposing a region of the first electrode and formed on the insulating film, an organic light emitting layer formed on the exposed region of the first electrode, and a second electrode formed on the organic light emitting layer.     • Provided are a thin film transistor, a method for preparing the same and a flat panel display employing the same. The thin film transistor includes a gate electrode, source and drain electrodes insulated from the gate electrode, a semiconductor layer insulated from the gate electrode and electrically connected to the source and drain electrodes, an insulating layer, and a carrier blocking layer interposed between the semiconductor layer and the insulating layer and preventing electrons or holes moving through semiconductor layer from being trapped in the insulating layer. Since the thin film transistor is constructed such that the carrier blocking layer is interposed between the semiconductor layer and the insulating layer, the electrons or holes injected into the semiconductor layer can be prevented from being trapped in the insulating layer, thereby suppressing hysteresis characteristic. In addition, a reliable flat panel display device can be manufactured using the thin film transistor.
