    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample box for an electron microscope having guide holes and plugs capable of extending time to observe dynamic changes of a sample by introducing the required gas or liquid into the sample by reopening the sample box.SOLUTION: A sample box for an electron microscope includes a first substrate 11, a second substrate 12 and a metal adhesive layer 13. The first substrate 11 includes a first surface 111, a second surface 112, a first recessed groove 113 and at least one first guide hole 114. The first recessed groove 113 is provided on the second surface 112. On the first surface 111, a first thin film 115 corresponding to the first recessed groove 113 is formed. The first guide hole 114 is provided in the outer periphery of the first recessed groove 113 and bored in the first substrate 11. The second substrate 12 includes a third surface 121, a fourth surface 122, and a second recessed groove 123.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample case for an electron microscope which includes through-holes and sealing caps, can be repeatedly opened and can extend dynamic state observation time of a sample by filling the required gas or liquid in the sample.SOLUTION: A sample case for an electron microscope includes a first substrate, a second substrate, one or more of photoelectric elements, and a metal adhesive layer. The first substrate includes a first surface, a second surface, a first recessed part, and one or more of first through-holes. The first through-holes penetrate through the first substrate. The second substrate includes a third surface, a fourth surface, and a second recessed part. The photoelectric elements are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The metal adhesive layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate to form a space, and a sample is housed in the space. Furthermore, this sample case includes one or more of sealing caps capable of sealing the first through-holes. In-situ-observation can be performed by the electron microscope by sealing the sample case.

    • In accordance with the present invention, the immunoregulatory activity of low doses of P 4 N was investigated. Unlike previously described antitumor drugs, low dose P 4 N, in doses of about 1 to 10 mg/kg, or at concentrations of about 10 to 100 nM, was surprisingly found to contribute to humoral immunity by raising the titers and activities of autoantibodies against GRP78 and F1F0 ATP synthase on the surface of CT26 cells, and inducing B cell proliferation and differentiation of plasma cells. Methods for inducing endogenous antitumor autoantibodies (EAA) in a subject having a neoplasia comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of the nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) derivative P4N, or salts, solvates and stereoisomers thereof, as well as methods for inducing B cell proliferation, inducing BAFF stimulated B cell proliferation, and suppressing or inhibition growth of a neoplasia are also provided.
