摘要： An electric motor includes a motor casing formed with a shaft insertion hole and a motor output shaft extending in the shaft insertion hole and projecting to a speed reducing mechanism. An annular oil seal is disposed between the shaft insertion hole and the motor output shaft and the annular oil seal includes an annular seal retainer buried in the annular oil seal for reinforcement. A C-shaped stopper member extending circumferentially from a first end to a second end spaced from the first end, is held in a holding portion or a fitting groove of the shaft insertion hole, and arranged to prevent movement of the oil seal toward the speed reducing mechanism. The stopper member includes a plurality of beam segments confronting the seal retainer from an axial direction of the motor output shaft.

摘要： A variable valve operating apparatus including a drive cam, a rocker cam swingably moveable about the swing axis so as to move an engine valve to open and closing positions, a motion transmission mechanism operative to convert a rotational motion of the drive cam to a swing motion of the rocker cam, and a control shaft operative to control an attitude of the motion transmission mechanism to vary a valve lift of the engine valve. A roller or a follower portion are disposed on one end portion of the motion transmission mechanism on a side of the drive cam and contacted with the drive cam. A biasing member is arranged to bias the roller onto the drive cam through a roller shaft or biases the follower portion onto the drive cam through a support for the biasing member.

The system has an actuating mechanism for actuating the control shaft. A position of rotation of a control shaft, variably adjusting the attitude of the motion converter, is set, so that, at a peak lift during a valve opening period, an angle γ2 between an extension line of a line segment connecting a first fulcrum corresponding to a drive-eccentric-cam center and a second fulcrum provided on a rocker arm and a line segment connecting the second fulcrum and a third fulcrum provided on the rocker arm at a position different from the second fulcrum at a middle working-angle control mode is less than both an angle γ1 between the two line segments at a minimum working-angle control mode and an angle γ3 between the two line segments at a maximum working-angle control mode.
