摘要： A system and method of conference messaging between Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) telephony devices and Wide Area Network (WAN) devices is where a conference messaging session with WAN devices is initiated by at least one Telephony Control Point (TCP) via a session request which includes session information, media capabilities of at least one TCP, a list of WAN devices, and a subject of the conference messaging session. The conference messaging session is then established between the at least one TCP and the WAN devices by a Telephony Server (TS) in an UPnP telephony based home network based on the session request.

摘要： The present invention provides a method and system for managing telephony services in a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) home network environment. In one embodiment, a method includes creating one or more profiles associated with at least one Telephony Control Point (TelCP) in an UPnP home network environment, each of the one or more profiles includes one or more service settings associated with telephony services. The method also includes storing the one or more profiles associated with the at least one TelCP in a service settings database. Additionally, the method includes setting one of the one or more profiles as an active profile for the at least one TelCP, and providing telephony services to the at least one TelCP according to the one or more service settings associated with the active profile.

摘要： Methods and apparatus are provided for a managing at least one network address book of a user at a TS in a UPnP home network. A request to update a contact entry is received from a TCP that is coupled to the TS in the UPnP home network. The request includes contact information associated with at least one entity of the contact entry, and an identifier of a source of the contact entry. It is determined whether the identifier in the request is associated with any of one or more network address books in one or more WAN servers coupled to the TS via a WAN. When the identifier is associated with at least one of the one or more network address books, the contact entry in the at least one network address book is updated based on the contact information. When the identifier is not associated with any of the one or more network address books, the contact entry in a local address book in the TS is updated based on the contact information.

Information associated with a remote party is fetched by a telephony server, when an incoming event associated with the remote party arrives at the telephony server. An incoming event notification associated with the incoming event is generated. The incoming event notification includes the information associated with the remote party. The incoming event with the incoming event notification is forwarded to at least one telephony control point in the UPnP home network environment. The information associated with the remote party is displayed with the incoming event notification on a display of the at least one telephony control point, when the incoming event arrives at the telephony control point.

Thereafter, the method stores the session information in a memory of the TS.

The system includes a first XDM Client Device operable to send XML documents (Extensible Markup Language Documents) and Filtering Rules of history information of the XML Documents, an XDM Server operable to receive and store the XML Documents and the Filtering Rules, and a second XDM Client Device operable to have access to the XML Documents stored in the XDM Server, wherein the XDM Server stores the history information as per the Filtering Rules when the second XDM Client Device has access to the XML Documents. According to the present invention, the history storage and management can be improved. The user can set the event history storage, which allows the history management to be easily performed. Especially, the user can select which information is to be stored in the history and when to store it, which prevents unnecessary history information from being stored and thus allows history management to be easily performed. In addition, the user can easily perform searching and retrieving of history information.
