    • A camera provided with a circuit for determining the closing of a focal plane shutter in accordance with a desired time interval includes additional control circuitry for enabling an exposure to be controlled by closure of the lens shutter in an objective lens assembly which is mounted to the camera body. The additional control circuitry includes a normally closed switch shunting a first pair of connector terminals to maintain operation of the control circuitry when the objective lens assembly is not mounted to the camera body. The normally closed switch is open with the objective lens assembly mounted to the camera body and mechanism for closing the lens shutter is energized through a normally open switch closed by the opening movement of the focal plane shutter. An additional switch is shunted across a pair of terminals interconnecting the lens assembly with the camera body and is closed with the lens shutter open to maintain energization of the focal plane shutter restraining control mechanism. With the objective lens assembly mounted to the camera the apparatus for determining the exposure time interval is set at a time greater than the exposure interval and the mechanism for closing the lens shutter is energized by the closing of the normally open switch and the opening of the additional switch closes the focal plane shutter by de-energizing the control circuit. In another embodiment an additional normally open switch shunting the integrating capacitor in the control circuit is closed with the mounting of said objective lens assembly to the camera body to automatically disable the control circuit enabling exposure to be effected by the lens shutter.

    • A dental surgery handpiece for interchangeable rotatable tools includes a chuck accessible through an open end of a tubular support, opening and closing of the chuck being controlled by rotation of an actuating ring inside the support and accessible through openings therein. The chuck is mounted on a driving shaft, the chuck/shaft assembly being freely rotatable when a locking pin assumes a disengaged position and part of the chuck/shaft assembly being locked against rotation to enable operation of the actuating ring when said pin assumes a locking position. A sleeve slidably mounted on the support between two positions closes said openings and disengages said pin in a first position, and allows access to the actuating ring through said openings in a second position in which it holds said pin in its locking position.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a reasonable dental handpiece, which can be used only once and then thrown away or be cleaned after every cutting action, by making the head part of the handpiece of synthetic resin, and providing a fastening means with a driving source at one end thereof, and a means for supporting a cutting tool in the head at the other end thereof. CONSTITUTION: The head part 1 of this handpiece is made of a synthetic resin, and can be formed by injection forming and mold forming. A fastening means 3 is provided at the base end of an elongated head main body 2. The supporting means 4 of the cutting tool is provided at the edge end of the head main body 2, and comprises a chuck 7 formed of a tube coated with synthetic resin or self-lubricating layer. The chuck 7 is mechanically retained in the head part 1 by a retaining shell 8 welded at the end thereof, and accepts the edge part of the well-known cutting tool. Moreover, the edge part is retained by a latch 9 so as not to be fallen off. The periphery of the chuck 7 is fit by pinion 7, and it is engaged with a driving shaft 5. The driving shaft 5 is arranged in the head main body 2 and connected with a driving motor, which is not shown an the figure.
