    • The invention relates to a method and device for analyzing gas components of a matrix (12) having two sensors (1A, 1B), each comprising a hollow space closed by a membrane, wherein both membranes (2A, 2B) are respectively exposed on one side to the matrix (12) and on the other side to a purge gas and subsequently, starting at a start time tA, the time curve of the differential pressure ?ps, set between the two sensors (1A, 1B) as a consequence of the permeation of gas components of the matrix (12) and/or the purge gas through both membranes (2A, 2B), is measured. In order to enable qualitative and genetic differentiation of the gas, membranes (2A, 2B) are used in a membrane set, bringing about different permeation behavior for said gas components. A time tE is derived from the time curve, at which time the measured differential pressure is equal to the differential pressure measured at the time tA, wherein the gas component of the matrix differing from the purge gas and the genesis thereof is determined from the time difference ?t = tE - tA.
