摘要： The application of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitors to the skin inhibits the degradation of proteins found in the skin including collagen, elastin, and other basement membrane and extracellular matrix protein. MMP inhibitors may be used in both cosmetic compositions and pharmaceutical compositions for application to skin. MMP inhibitors are formulated with a cosmetically suitable vehicle or pharmaceutically acceptable excipient for application to the skin as creams, lotions, ointments, solutions, face masks, etc. As cosmetics, the inventive MMP inhibitor compositions are applied to the skin to prevent or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation changes, loss of elasticity, or other effects associated with aging or sun damage. As pharmaceuticals, the inventive MMP inhibitor compositions may also be applied to the skin to treat or prevent a skin disease (e.g., proliferative disease, inflammatory disease).

The composition when exposed to light having a red wavelength is capable of substantially transmitting or not substantially absorbing or reflecting the red wavelength of light to protect the skin. Ingredients in the composition may be segmented into functional groups: a drying group, a skin benefits group, a performance group and a carrier group where each group has respective functional agents or ingredients. A container encompassing the composition may be integrated with a razor or light based device for ease of dispensing. The composition is quick-drying. After evaporation, there may be one or more non-volatile components of the composition remaining on the skin providing skin benefits.

摘要： An elastomer bushing having an increased axial rate, improved durability, and high fatigue life due to the compression and confinement of the rubber element is provided. The manufacture of the elastomer journal is conventional for commercial vehicle applications. In a primary embodiment, the rubber is bonded to a bar pin by an adhesive, wherein the rubber journal is then subsequently assembled into an outer tube. After assembly, the outer tube is curled to retain the rubber journal, and the center of the outer tube diameter is swaged or compressed so as to deform the outer tube into the rubber. The compressed groove in the outer tube comprises the unique feature of this bushing design. This groove provides a mechanical "footing" that resists movement when an axial load is applied.

When the composition is in the form of a post-foaming shave gel, then it will also include about 1% to about 6%, preferably about 2% to about 5%, volatile post-foaming agent.

摘要： The present invention embraces a topical cosmetic composition for providing noticeably healthy looking human skin. The composition comprises a topical cosmetic carrier vehicle including vitamin A, vitamin E, aloe, and at least one member selected from the group consisting of bisabolol, panthenol, vitamin B3 and vitamin C. Preferably, the composition includes vitamin B3. More preferably, the composition also includes vitamin C and/or bisabolol, most preferably both of these. The present invention also embraces a method of providing noticeably healthy looking human skin which comprises applying; to human skin at least once a day over at least seven days a to topical cosmetic composition as described above.
