摘要： The present invention relates to a kit to seal and preserve a partly drunk bottle of wine by injecting and leaving an unpressurised blanket of inert gas into the bottle through a self-sealing stopper (20). The device (10) contains a replaceable canister of compressed gas and is designed so that the whole injecting of gas process is carried out with a simple push down of the device onto the bottle. At the end of the process the wine will be kept in perfect condition for many months by leaving the stopper (20) in the bottle.

摘要： An electronic quick change cartridge (10) for a welding helmet. The cartridge base (26) is formed of an optically dense polycarbonate or like material that acts as a passive filter to provide eye protection during the welding process. A port (30) in the base receives a variable density LCD cell (35) and a cavity (27) formed in the base (26) receives the electronics for driving the cell. Optical masks (11, 50) prevent light leakage through any interfaces of the structure. When low light levels are present, the welder views a work piece through an essentially transparent or slightly opaque LCD cell. When an arc is struck, the LCD cell (35) darkens to a shade corresponding to the shade of the surrounding polycarbonate material. The welder then can view the work piece through the LCD cell and all the optically unobstructed portions of the polycarbonate base (26) surrounding the LCD cell (35) thereby to have an expanded viewing area during the actual welding operation.

摘要： A tape comprising a backing film with a fragile magnetic or electromagnetic coating of a pigment in a binder medium, which optionally may also have a release coating interposed, is coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive. The adhesive is overcoated on the fragile coating or is applied to the reverse side of the backing film. Either the reverse side of the backing film also has a release coating applied, or a release inter-liner is placed over the adhesive before the tape is wound into a roll. When unrolled, the tape may easily be adhered to a substrate, under very light contact pressure. The products so made are able to carry magnetically recorded data, for information or security uses, or to act as electromagnetic screens / barriers. Existing products intended for similar uses have to be applied with the use of heat and pressure, preventing use on sensitive substrates.
