    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved pressure reducer and an improved method for operating the pressure reducer.SOLUTION: The pressure reducer (1a-1d) includes a high-pressure inlet (3), a low-pressure outlet (4), a valve seat (5), and a valve plunger (6) which interacts with the valve seat (5) and can be displaced in a direction of displacement. When the valve plunger is displaced away from the valve seat (5), a first path is opened between the high-pressure inlet (3) and the low-pressure outlet (4). The pressure reducer (1a-1d) furthermore includes a second path which connects the high-pressure inlet (3) and the low-pressure outlet (4), a first control valve (10) which is arranged in the course of the second path, and a first effective area (14) which is the first effective area (14) of the valve plunger (6), arranged in the course of the second path, and aligned in such a way that a first control pressure (p) acting on the effective area (14) results in a first force on the valve plunger (6) in the direction of displacement. In addition, the method for operating the pressure reducer (1a-1d) is shown.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve capable of surely executing a cutoff operation without using electric control means to prevent excess charging in a charging work to a pressure reservoir used in a vehicle system, and having a function for decompression in safety when a pressure in the pressure reservoir exceeds a prescribed pressure.SOLUTION: A valve seat is formed by a first piston effective surface A1 of a piston 22 disposed in a valve chamber and facing an inlet element 17 of the valve chamber, and a seal body 21, the piston 22 becomes axially movable by change of a pressure in a pressure storage region 19 of the valve chamber adjacent to an effective surface A2 of a second piston to reversibly open and close a passage opening portion 13 disposed between an intake opening portion 10 and an outlet opening portion 11, and the passage opening portion 13 is kept in an opened state by a spring 23 in a state free from pressurization. Further a valve assembly has a function for decompressing through a take-out valve 30 from the pressure storage region 19 when the pressure in a pressure storage container S becomes higher than a specification value.
