摘要： The adaptor comprises a body 1 having a plug 532 and a socket 533 on opposite sides so that a plurality of adapters can be connected in series by plugging the plug of one adapter into the socket of another. A coupling groove 15 and a pair of coupling plates 14 extend longitudinally along opposite sides of the body so that the coupling groove of one adapter can receive the coupling plates of another adapter. A tie hole extends through the end of the coupling plates so that a screw can extend therethrough and couple the adapters together. The adapter body may be used with telephone jacks and plugs or coaxial cable connectors (Figs 15 and 16).

摘要： A multi-voltage adaptor 1 comprises a high voltage socket outlet 112, a low voltage socket outlet 111 and a either a high voltage or low voltage plug inlet 3, the high voltage or low voltage plug inlet being a selected one of a series of different plugs (figure 2-1, not shown), wherein a high voltage plug is electrically connected in the adaptor to the high voltage socket outlet and a low voltage plug is electrically connected to the low voltage socket outlet, and the socket outlets have a transformer connecting them. A circuit breaker is connected to the transformer and the socket outlets and may move to block the socket outlets (figures 10 to 14, not shown). The high voltage plug has terminals 35 connected to high voltage terminals 14 of the adaptor and the low voltage plug has terminals 33 connected to low voltage terminals 13 of the adaptor. A switch (5, figures 16, 17, not shown) may connect either the high or low voltage terminals. A plug may slide in guides 12 and be retained by a latch 121. The inlet plug may be substituted by a wire connection unit (4, figure 4, not shown) with high and low voltage terminals (45,44). The high voltage outlet may comprise a series of differently configured outlet socket contact configurations for connecting to one of several different plug counterparts. A series of socket outlet covers 15 each have holes corresponding to one socket contact configuration. One of the covers is selected to cover the socket outlet to provide a socket outlet configured for a particular plug counterpart. High or low voltage operation maybe indicated by differently coloured lights (131,141, figure 1, not shown). The adaptor may be configured as a trailing socket outlet unit with both high and low voltage plugs trailing from a multi-socket body (figure 9, not shown). The adaptor may have only a single outlet socket (figures 7,8, not shown).
