摘要： PURPOSE: A locking apparatus of an input slot and automatic teller machine are provided to prevent a media or other foreign materials from flowing into an automatic teller machine due to carelessness of a user or other reasons when a media process module is removed from the automatic teller machine. CONSTITUTION: A locking apparatus of an input slot comprises a panel(110), an upper bracket(200), a lower bracket(120), and a locking unit. The panel forms the input slot for inputting a media. The upper bracket is combined with one side of the panel and opens and closes the input slot while moving to the top and bottom with the contact of the media. The lower bracket is formed at the bottom of the upper bracket and blocks the input slot by cooperating with the upper bracket. The locking device controls the movement of the upper bracket according to the mount of a media process module while being combined with the upper bracket.

The light receiving unit includes a sensor recognizing the quantity of the light from the converging unit. The controlling unit determines the accumulated state of the currency according to the quantity of the light.
