    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly generally-usable remote operating mechanism capable of opening/closing a footrest for a wheelchair even if a type or size is different, which is light and easily post-attachable and a patient and a care giver can easily operate a lever, and has a back-up function capable of safely and securely holding it at the "open" position.
      SOLUTION: On both right and left side parts of a wheelchair body, main shafts 5 are planted into bed plates integrated with guide plates 5a. L-shape levers 6 with a plurality of cord connecting holes 6d or long holes 6d' are pivotally assembled to the main shafts 5b. Between the cord connecting holes 6d or the long holes 6d' and shafts 16 provided on turning radius adjustable connection tools 15, cords 7 with springs 7b are connected. The L-shape operation levers 6 are turned to turn footrests 4 in ranges from "close" positions I to stop areas III of "open" positions.
