    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for vortexing, accelerating and photo-catalytically treating a liquid, the photocatalyst area of which is increased.
      SOLUTION: This liquid treatment instrument is constituted so that the introduced liquid is accelerated/vortexed to form an eddy current and double a sterilizing effect by ultraviolet rays and an effect of a photocatalyst. A hollow quartz tube is installed in a tubular body to the inner wall of which the photocatalyst is applied. An ultraviolet lamp is fit inside the hollow quartz tube. A liquid introducing pipe and a liquid discharging pipe are connected respectively to the upper and lower ends of the tubular body so that the upper end connected to the liquid introducing pipe can be separated from the tubular body. An accelerating structure having a plurality of liquid flow passages is arranged in the tubular body at an outlet of the liquid introducing pipe. Multiple photocatalyst-increased units are arranged between the tubular body and the quartz tube parallel to them. The eddy current whirled at a high speed is formed in the tubular body to heighten the sterilizing effect and improve the effect to decompose organic contaminants. A color-comparable table on which the color having the depth different from that of the color of an ultraviolet ray intensity indicating lamp is printed is arranged so that a user can easily understand the intensity of ultraviolet rays.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic horizontal hydrometer for accurately measuring the specific gravity of a sea water sample.
      SOLUTION: The automatic horizontal hydrometer is provided with a container 1 and a floating measuring indicator. The container 1 is divided into an upper-end handle part 12 and a lower measuring chamber 2. The pointer is pivoted outside the measuring chamber and freely rocked. A dark tube is provided in the inside of a side wall of the container. An equilibrium suspending point is provided at the upper end of the handle part. The equilibrium suspending point is a rocking-free support. A middle part of the floating measuring indicator is provided with a weight having a biased center of gravity. In the automatic horizontal hydrometer, by rotation-freely arranging the weight 10 having a biased center of gravity in a circular hole at the middle part of the floating measuring pointer and combining a movable hook with the rocking-free support and the weight having a biased center of gravity, it is possible to accurately fix the hydrometer to an absolutely horizontal location and to easily and accurately perform original setting of the hydrometer in a manufacturing process.

      SOLUTION: A double effect liquid treating device, in which a vortex flow rotated in acceleration is formed in an introduced liquid and ultraviolet ray sterilization and photocatalyst effect are reinforced, is composed by attaching a hollow quartz tube 2 inside a tube body 1 where a photocatalyst is applied to an inner wall, attaching an ultraviolet ray lamp to its inside, providing a liquid entrance tube 11 and a liquid exit tube 12 respectively on the upper end and the lower end of the tube body 1, making the upper end provided with the liquid entrance tube of the tube body separable from the tube body, providing an acceleration structure on a liquid entrance tube exit inside the tube body, providing a plurality of flow guiding passages in the acceleration structure, and providing a multiple photocatalyst reinforcing device parallel between the tube body 1 and the quartz tube 2. By forming the vortex flow of high-speed rotation inside the tube body, a sterilization effect is strengthened and the effect of decomposing organic contaminants is improved. Also, a color comparison chart on which the color of a depth different from an ultraviolet ray intensity indication lamp 4 is printed is added and a user is made to easily understand the intensity of ultraviolet rays.
